But be that as it may, this will be the "hub" page for the online portion of our discussion of readings (and issues) as the term progresses. Here you will find links to:
Having a hub and collected discussions from the readings, as we began discussing in our first class, is just one example of ways writing and technology need to be tailored to the needs of different users, situations, and purposes. Having each of you write first in your own "wiki space" creates, organizes, and simplifies the work "at your end," first. But then, when it comes time for us to use/engage/discuss the readings before class (or for grading purposes ;-) ) , the user will want to be able to read through the collected writings on each reading, easily. Therefore our practice is going to be to first compose/post your own writings/explorations off of your own pages, but after first saving them there, to copy your pieces and include them in running "threads" on each of the readings linked above. We will also be having further deliberation among ourselves how and whether to actually conduct discussions online. More on that later. |
