Proposal

Reason for the Project: This project will show why technical communication matters and show what I learned in class. It will allow me to demonstrate how I communicate in a situation that other people may not be able to effectively communicate in. I will be explaining how to effectively communicate with drunk people because that's basically what my job at Bell's Pizza entails.

How This is Tech Comm: At work, I have to interact with a wide array of drunks. There are the happy drunks, the angry drunks, the impatient drunks, the demanding drunks who want free food, and worst of all, the UM football players. When I first started working there, I sometimes had no clue about what to say to these people. I've learned to analyze the audience (which type of drunk they are) and how to communicate with them according to what I think their expectations are.

Presentation: I will discuss the job, how to communicate with co-workers, how to analyze a drunk person, and how to "effectively" communicate with the drunk person.
