About me:I am 21 years old as of May. I am a senior here at Eastern. I have gone through several changes to my major during my college career. When I first applied I was a Journalism major, because I loved to write. As things developed in my life I switched to a Pre-med major, which has almost nothing in common with Journalism. The switch was fueled by some training I received over a summer. In order to pay for school I decided to get trained as an Emergency Medical Technician. This changed my goals for a future career as I discovered a strong liking for the medical industry. Through a series of events, involving my first encounter with a patients death and a strong dislike of chemistry, I decided that the medical field was not for me. I turned to a second hobby of mine: computers.
All my life I had been interested in Architecture, I was held back by a fear of math. To my glee I discovered that most of the attributes of architecture that I so enjoyed were done by draftsmen or more recently by people trained in computer aided design. With a quick major change I became a CAD major. As I developed in my classes I discovered which ones I enjoyed and which completely turned me off to my new major. I followed the ones I liked which led me to a new major which Eastern will be releasing Winter semester 2008, pending everything continues to go to plan. This new major is abbreviated SAG and stands for computer Simulation, Animation, and Gaming. This new major also realizes another life long goal which has lurked in the shadows. Since I can remember I have been created new games for my little brother. Granted these were not on computers, but were done on paper. Little did I know that I would pursue this in a much grander way. My college career has been a long rocky road but I feel as if I am finally where I belong. I like to say at times that I am now a jack of all trades, master of some.
